**UPDATE** We have just picked up with a second 8-week Session as of May 1, 2019. Handouts for each class will be made available a week in advance attached below with the appropriate dates.

In January, we began a topical study on reading and understanding the Bible which takes place on Wednesday nights here at the Church building. This 8-week study is intended to grow our knowledge of God’s Word as we read it together and individually. The aim for us is reading and understanding the Bible in the way that is was written. Another way of putting this is understanding the Bible as literature.

The course is being led by Gary Meadors, a member of Providence. He has taught Greek and New Testament for over 30 years and is Professor Emeritus at Grace Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids Michigan. For more information and further reading, visit www.gmeadors.com.

Over the course of this class, it is our hope that we will grow in our appreciation and reverence for God’s Word while also developing greater fluency in reading and understanding the Bible. For those unable to attend or in need of catching up, we will be posting the audio from the class here on our website, which can be accessed by following the link at the bottom of this page. You will also find class handouts and other files that will be helpful to you as we move through the class material.
