Reading the Bible: Lecture 1.1
From Series: "Reading the Bible for All Its Worth"
"Reading the Bible for All Its Worth: The Bible as Literature" is a study intended for growing our knowledge of God’s Word as we read it together and individually. The aim for us is reading and understanding the Bible in the way that is was written. Another way of putting this is understanding the Bible as literature. The course is being led by Dr. Gary T. Meadors, a member of Providence. He has taught Greek and New Testament for over 30 years and is Professor Emeritus at Grace Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids Michigan. For more information and further reading, visit www.gmeadors.com. Over the course of this study, it is our hope that we will grow in our appreciation and reverence for God’s Word while also developing greater fluency in reading and understanding the Bible. For those unable to attend or in need of catching up, we will be posting the audio from the class here on our website, which can be accessed by following the link at the bottom of this description. On that page, you will also find class handouts and other files that will be helpful to you as we move through the class material. http://providenceswfl.com/reading-the-bible-for-all-its-worth-the-bible-as-literature/?fbclid=IwAR2Vx9h5JYFCvoG_U5shaRm9HCK7_U4g6rcJJKCAnr5xdTdbco8O4g_o5DQ
