Be Strong. It’s about being what the Bible describes as true manhood. This includes striving daily to become men characterized by honor, humility, sacrificial love, patience and oneness for the sakes of your wives, children and churches. Think of your titles as husbands, daddies, elders, deacons, Christians — they are all wrapped up in a single, ultimate calling: “To be watchful, to stand firm in the faith, to act like men and to be strong” (1 Cor. 16:13).

As men, we are the example to our wives of Christ’s relationship to the Church. That’s the example our children look to and the same example the Church seeks for leadership and guidance. So being called to act like men and to be strong isn’t just about becoming better men; it’s a call to be like Jesus. At this years 2013 Men’s Conference, we’ve invited Brody Holloway and the team from Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in Andrews, NC to lead us as we learn how to practically live out this call on a daily basis.

In addition to solid Bible teaching about manhood, our 2013 Men’s Conference will once again feature lots of GUNPOWDER. And the shooting will be highlighted by a demonstration by the United States Army Marksmanship Unit. And you can bring your guns and ammo, or shoot some of our guns. (Note: If you bring your own gun, you are responsible for your own ammunition).
